Presentations & Facilitation

I have engaged audiences of all ages and stages on a variety of nutrition and food topics, whether in classrooms, at conferences or through online webinars. I have been a member of the University of Victoria Speakers Bureau, speaking to groups from children to seniors on topics like Eating on a Budget or Knowing Your Ingredients. I am also a sessional instructor and researcher with the UVic Continuing Studies and Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education departments. I was formerly a Master Trainer with the provincial program Appetite to Play providing online and in-person training for Early Years Providers on the importance of healthy eating, food literacy, physical activity and physical literacy in the 0-5 population. My goal is always to provide evidence-based information but in a realistic and inspiring manner to allow participants to put my teachings into practice to improve their health and the health of those for whom they care. I also enjoy providing cooking classes and demonstrations.
